The trend

With over 30 years of leadership development practice, we have found three key challenges facing today’s workplaces:

JumpStart Your Leadership III provides today’s leaders—whether seasoned or new—with the necessary training, tools and techniques to help to become an effective leader who gets results and reaches their goals. In Jumpstart Your Leadership III, managers, supervisors and other leaders will learn about leadership by:

  • Learning and talking about it

  • Practicing it in real time in class

  • Getting feedback on what went well and what needs to be improved

  • Reading assignments of selected leadership books

  • Having live discussions with leaders from corporate America, nonprofit and government agencies

Program flow

JumpStart Your Leadership III is a comprehensive leadership development program based on one key concept: that learning to be a leader is not a singular event, but a process.

One day per month

Content is distributed over six days so that leaders have a chance to learn, discuss, deliberate and apply.

Assignments

Course studies include behavioral style assessments, practical assignments, reading assignments of books and articles to read, as well as group conference calls with the facilitator for critical accountability updates.

Learning that sticks

JumpStart Your Leadership III is designed to incorporate multiple learning modalities so learning occurs in the student as well as from their peers, fellow attendees and the facilitator. Interactive learning includes role plays, panel discussions, case studies, facilitated debate and critical thinking exercises to help improve learning and retention.
